James is currently serving as a councilman for the city of Central Falls, making sure that everyone in his ward is well represented. He also works for The College Crusade as a Middle School Advisor at Woonsocket Middle School. “I enjoy this position a lot because I am able to have a great impact on the youth of today,” James says. “I provide resources and guidance to make sure the Crusaders in my school are on the right path to college.”

“As a Crusader I benefited from a lot of resources that the program offered,” James recalls. “One of the most important was having access to visiting many universities and colleges. I also appreciated the opportunity to listen to many guest speakers, who spoke on their experiences and left a great impact on my desire to achieve a higher education.”

For James, one of the highlights of college was being able to build relationships with his professors, whom he still remains in contact with today. He encourages Crusaders who are just starting college to make the most of it. “Get ready to enjoy one of the best experiences of your life,” he says. “Be responsible, focus on your studies, and all the fun will come along with it.”

In his free time, James enjoys reading and playing soccer.
