Group Mentoring

The Group Mentoring program runs in 11 middle schools in Central Falls, Newport, Pawtucket, Providence and Woonsocket. The groups are facilitated by a Crusade Advisor. There is an 8-week life-skills curriculum that involves students in discussion and activities on diversity, conflict resolution, college and career awareness and alcohol and drug awareness. The group runs after school for an hour.

E-Mentoring

E-Mentoring offers the advantages of a personal mentoring relationship combined with the convenience of communication via email. There are two face-to-face meetings. Emails are exchanged once a week and mentors have an opportunity to support and guide their mentee.

Special Volunteer Opportunities

These one-time events are opportunities for Crusaders to experience new activities and enlarge their perspectives. The importance of education is always emphasized by the facilitators of these events. Volunteers are welcome to support the Crusaders at these activities.

Sporting Events

Throughout the year, Crusaders have the opportunity to attend sporting events at different local sites, such as the Pawtucket Red Sox, URI and Brown University.

Cultural Events

The College Crusade of Rhode Island is in the process of developing new ways for Crusaders to experience the world, such as attending the theater, concerts, and participating in local cultural activities.
