Welcome
The College Crusade of Rhode Island needs caring volunteers who want to make a difference in children’s lives by sharing their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. Volunteers encourage Crusaders to do their best in school and achieve their goals. Parents and teachers agree that volunteers make an important contribution to helping Crusaders succeed in school and go on to higher education.

Volunteer Programs & Services
Volunteer opportunities include participating with another mentor in conducting a discussion group with middle school Crusaders. Groups meet weekly for a minimum of 75 minutes in middle schools in Pawtucket, Providence, Central Falls and Woonsocket. Topics for discussion are selected by students and mentors together.
You may also help by assisting in after-school programs for elementary school Crusaders. Programs vary in length and content. Check our online calendar for a schedule of upcoming events.
Why Volunteer?
Sharing your gift by serving as a volunteer or mentor for The College Crusade will be a rewarding experience for you as well as the Crusaders you serve. Research has shown that kids with mentors are less likely to skip school, use alcohol or drugs or engage in violent activities. Mentoring has proven benefits for both you and the children.
